Reflection

Here i am, at Loch Lomond, looking for answers. I found none. But i did get a nice ice cream in Luss.

Celtic 5 Hearts 0 25/08/08

Darkheid indeed

I've only just calmed down. Shit, shit and shit. How bad were Hearts? How bad was it that Hearts were that bad, at fecking Smeltic Park of all places. Sindy does not like to be in a bad mood, let me tell you, but watching that all season - I'll need the Prozac back. 4-5-1 again. With Callum Elliot up front. Callum Elliot, up front, alone, first game of season. Against Celtic. Whoever thought that one up should be writing comedy. Maybe Vlad does. I just don't know anymore. The new stadium plans are fabulous, but what on earth is going on on the pitch. I can't take more of this, that's for sure. Thankfully a trip to see the Eagles of Death Metal ruled me out of the Stirling game, and thankfully a 2-0 win put us intothe next round. But is this what it has come to? Being relieved we are in the next round of the diddy cup? The Mickey mouse cup? The wee cup? yep. Seems like it.

Anyway, after Celtic, I decided to head along to watch the reserves. They lost 2-0 but Celtic had some team out. That highly annoying Jarosik, and the oh-so ugly Gravesen and Rat Boy Riordan. Still, at least Cesny was playing...

Hearts 1 Gretna 1 18/08/07

Where do we go from here?

Hello, I haven't written for a bit. I needed the time to calm down, get drunk, reflect, relax, instead of posting knee jerk reactions.
So, I was excited, as you can see in photo one, season book in hand, a Saturday afternoon game, against Gretna. Surely three points in the bag. It all started to go wrong when the person i go to the games with wanted to take a mate - i said yes, and they went into the dry main stand. Me? I got drenched in the Gorgie, with another mates ticket. On the pitch in front of me, it just wasn't happening, was it? Hearts just never looked like giving Gretna the humping we all wanted. Playing 4-5-1 at home probably ensured that, but we did go ahead, from a brilliant shot, which i reckon wasn't really meant, by wee Andy Driver. But a few minutes later and we let them back into it. Pathetic. On a damp, dreich night, which later turned into a tropical evening of monsoon showers, we departed for the pub. A few in the Caley Sample Room and then the Diggers, where, as you can see i enjoyed a wee short, and wee half of Guinness. And then some. Those tickets i had bought for Celtic Park suddenly seemed a big mistake...

Aberdeen 1 Hearts 1 13/08/07

Hi everyone! That's me in the car on the way up to Aberdeen. And yes, I have dyed my hair, Well, they say blondes have more fun. Let's hope so, eh? And it wasn't too bad at Pittodrie yesterday. That Jonsson looks like a player, even though it was his fault for their goal by that wee *&*&%&^ Nicolson. But please, don't make me go there. But he totally atoned for it in the second half with a gritty display. Personally, I was quite excited to see the lesser spotted Cesnauskis on the bench. The last time I saw him was at Inverness last year, by the pie stand. Maybe that's why he's been out so long.
Anyway, what a goal from Michael Stewart to cancel theirs out though, eh? A Jambo once again definitely.
It was a pretty strange Sunday afternoon affair, as there was no trip to the pub beforehand, and I headed straight home afterwards too. Roll on Saturday when we get the rarity of a Saturday 3pm kick-off. And after Hibs getting that win over Gretna at the weekend, the jammy gits, we really do need to do the same. Not that I think there is much doubt. In fact, I'm so confident, if we lose, I'll dye my hair again!
I'll let you know what happens! Until then. Sx

Hearts 0 Hibs 1 06/08/07

Well, that was a bit of a let-down to say the least. I was so excited about the new season, even if it was on a Monday night for us Hearts supporters, but after two minutes it was already going wrong. I hate Hibs. I hadn't even sat down when they bloody scored, so the only good thing was that I didn't actually see the goal. I have a new season ticket this year, in the rickety old Main Stand at Tynecastle. It's a great seat, and I kind of like it up there in the delapidated old stand.
I hope to go to all the away games too, and after each I have decided to share it with whoever wants to read it, on this, my new blog!
And so, back to the game. Beniusis. Where on earth did they get this one? All the booing was a clear indicator of what the fans thought of him, anyway. I did feel a bit sorry for him, poor lad, but he is seriously not up to the job. It's one Lith out and another in at Hearts, and I can't keep up!
On the plus side, another little Lithuanian who has arrived, er, we're calling him Audrey, name begins with a Ks, looked pretty sharp and talented to me.
Until next time! Sx
